2020年に湘南を代表するブレッド&バターの岩沢二弓が、同じく湘南を拠点に活動するCittaこと秋元勇気と共に結成したSURF CITY PLAYERZによる話題必至のデビュー・シングル！

A面は、スティービー・ワンダーや井上陽水、松任谷由実など国内外のミュージシャンとの交流も深く、日本の音楽シーンの基礎を築いてきたブレッド&バターの初期代表作であり、山下達郎のLIVE名演でもお馴染みの名曲"Pink Shadow"のカヴァー！今回のSURF CITY PLAYERZのver.では、ブレッド&バターの岩沢二弓とCittaのデュエットを中心にメンバーのグルーヴをいかした70年代Soulを彷彿とさせる仕上がりに。いま流行りのCITY POPサウンドとも異なるサーフ・シティー湘南から生まれたオリジナル・サウンドが格別！！

そしてB面には、Cittaの代表作でもありライブでの定番曲"Magic Step"を収録。Free SoulファンやLord Echoのカヴァーでもお馴染みの、あのSister Sledgeの名曲"Thinking Of You"のギター・カッティングのオマージュとなるイントロのギターからして最高なSURF CITY PLAYEZの魅力がつまったアーバンで踊り出したくなる傑作。

In 2020, Fuyumi Iwasawa of Bread & Butter, who represents Shonan, formed a debut single by SURF CITY PLAYERZ, which was formed with Yuki Akimoto aka Citta, who is also based in Shonan.
